Welcome To Yoga with Lauren Snyder

Welcome to Yoga:

Have you always wanted to try a Yoga class; but weren’t sure where to begin? Or felt like you weren’t “flexible” or “strong enough”?

Have you just started your Yoga practice but are confused by words like Vinyasa, Pranayama, and Asana?

Are you looking for a chance to explore the fundamentals in a bit more depth?

This three hour workshop is designed to create the foundation you will need to bring Yoga more fully into your life. We will explore some of the foundational poses used in many local yoga classes, break down breath work, explore the history and philosophy beyond the physical practice itself, and cover a list of resources that can help take your exploration even further.

Lauren Snyder has been practicing Yoga since she was a teenager, but had a long and winding journey to finally feel at home in her practice. Due to chronic health problems; the ability to “keep up” in traditional classes and studios often led to anxiety, injury and fatigue and kept her locked into feeling like a beginner every single time she stepped on the mat. It took a supportive and inclusive community and a Yoga Teacher Training program before she finally found a way to fully embody her yoga practice and understand the deeper work in unifying breath, movement, mindfulness and awareness. Lauren’s passion is in helping others find their own place in the yoga community as well as creating classes and programs that welcome all individuals to practice in a way that honors their own unique mind, body and spirit.

Be Well Healing * Holding Space * Reiki Sound Yoga

Transformational Healing for Mind Body Spirit

Mind, Body, Spirit is a journey of self love through the practice of living Yoga.

We will explore meditation, mantra, movement, music and me/we oneness during our time together. Working from the heart center, we will integrate loving high vibrations into our thoughts, words and actions; creating a foundational structure from the inside out.

We will focus on alignment and balance. What does that look like individually and collectively? Where are we out of alignment? How do we bring our mind, body and spirit into balance?

Join us for a single session or all three, it is up to you. For ninety minutes, every other month, we will co-create our lives in sacred space and ceremony. Immerse yourself in the energy of abundance and step fully into your power of manifestation. Ignite the elements within your DNA and align with your highest self. Discover the magic that is already within you. Why not?

We will journal. We will practice asana. We will visualize. We will chant. We will learn. We will grow. We will forgive. We will release. We will elevate. We will connect. We will transform.

You will leave each session with spiritual tools and a newfound awareness from the experience.

Michelle has over 30 years of teaching experience. She is a Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master Teacher, Sound Alchemist and Intuitive Healer. Michelle is honored and humbled to hold space and witness others connect to their inner healer and highest self, through the spiritual heart center.

Into the Wild Sisterhood: August 2019

About the Event

Our sisterhood gathering is a group of women, who like you hear their own call to the wild. We gather around a monthly topic that explore our deepest desires. These themes provide us with different tools that we can incorporate into our everyday life to begin to find our way into our own wildness.

What is this call to the Wild?

The wild is not “out there” It lives within you. You don’t need to jump in your car and drive 1000 of miles into the depth of a forest. You just have to dive within, into the darkness of the unknown that lives within you and that is dying to come out.

This wildness lives within all of us. It comes as that internal voice, the one that is all knowing that we tend to push down and out of the way in order to live the lives that we’ve created. It’s restless and some days it cries louder than others…

  • It’s the voice that wants you to leave the job that makes you miserable.

  • It’s the voice that tells you its time to let go of unhealthy relationships in your life.

  • It’s the voice that tells you to create, to dancing, to sing, and to read when you just don’t have any time.

  • It’s the voice that wants you to be free and find happiness.

It might seem impossible at times to answer any of the requests that this inner wildness desires.

What if there was a way to answer that call, without throwing away everything you’ve created for yourself?

As we explore monthly topics you'll find a support system in place with this sisterhood that allows you to dive into your deepest desires and learn to create from your inner compass.

Expect time in conversation, meditation, journaling and simple movement (ie; yoga) practices. Wear comfortable clothing, bring a journal, yoga mat, water, and an item you can share on our group altar (you’ll receive this back at the end)

No previous experience in any of the above required. Come as you are, as we gather as one.

With an open heart I invite you on the adventure you've been seeking.

Much love,

Jessy

Embodied Dance Journey with Teresa Cisneros []Monthly[]

Embodied Dance Journey with Teresa Cisneros []Monthly[]

What is Embodied Dance?

Meditation, Breathwork, Exercise, Dance, Energy work, Feminine Rising. This journey is an ascension through specific exercises and release techniques to increase the fluidity in the body and live a more pleasure filled existence. When we are embodied, we are radically true with our heart, spirit, and feelings. Everything wants to be felt, and it is the suppression of the feelings (because there are some that we think are wrong, bad , or unwelcome) that creates stagnation in the body, sickness in the mind and physical body (dis-ease). When these unexpressed feelings are present in the body, they block our channels and don't allow energy to flow the way it should. This prevents us from being able to fully access our creative potential because literally our creative life force energy is blocked from being expressed into the world, we end up feeling tired, stuck, uninspired, or losing passion. Once we can unstuck ourselves, clear our channels, and welcome energy and feelings to move through us freely, then we can access our full creative potential and unlock the deepest parts of our innate feminine wisdom and intuition. Once we are liberated in our authentic expression (living embodied) we return to trust in ourselves and surrender to the flow of life as it moves through us. We can then really tap into the magic of existence in full spectrum!

Embodied Dance Journey with Teresa Cisneros []Monthly[]

Teresa Cisneros Bio:

Hello my name is Teresa, I’ve been a dancer and played sports since very young and have found movement to be the most effective way to reach a sense of liberation and easiest way to get out of my mind and into my body and spirit. I’ve recently traveled to Bali, Indonesia where I did my first yoga teacher training with Sattva Bali yoga and trained with Mana Mei Embodied Dance. This journey activated me on a whole other level of depth, I am now forever changed because now I too know how it feels to live in trust, to live in love. I am in the process to embody and open hearted leadership that can create a field for other humans to blossom!

Embodied Dance Feedback:

“My favorite part was when one of the women held me, which made me feel super safe” -Melissa

“I felt very connected to my body which increased throughout the entire time... I loved the celebration dance at the end everyone was so much in their own power and joy and that was really incredible... it was a really powerful experience.” -Katie

“I felt the motivation and will to go for more... the ambiance was perfect the girls were so much in their power very feminine, very authentic, very natural... I love that Reese joined us in many dances, she was communicating in community with us and really living what she was teaching.” -Jeinar

“I think you are Amazing” -Nia

“I was connected to my divine sovereignty and to the women in the circle it was very intimate and felt a sense of freedom.” -Mei

“This is springing that I was yearning for and I didn’t know I was yearning for it’s what my soul needed I felt free and myself growing curious child like I felt myself wanting more peace and self-love this is something I never experienced before just the giving and receiving in one room and no one expecting anything just all love it makes me want more I’m blown away at how powerful you are just how young and full of wisdom like you are “ -serenity

“ my favorite part was having time to be present with I gazing and deep in touch with permission to embrace partners whole body the container was solid energetically and through participation this offering really is you music was exceptional !!!” -Oceanna

“ I felt the shedding of hangups and discomfort as I connected with sisters Reese is strong and made The Space feel very comfortable my favorite part by far was having somebody hold space for women to connect with each other since that something we are so lacking in society nowadays and to feel comfortable and excepted while doing it was really amazing “- Meagan

“At first I was anxious about connecting to touch in general but during the journey it was really really freeing and I felt like really and power just to express myself I didn’t feel judged I felt multiple times this level of discomfort but not in a bad way I felt really supported and you really knew what you were doing there was never a moment where I didn’t feel that by the end I felt like a wild animal releasing there so much fire in me that just wants to be expressed and that was a safe space to do that this was fluid strong you are so authentic and connected really listening and paying attention and when you answered peoples questions it absolutely came from the heart every single time keep going keep going deeper my favorite part was screaming and then you started screaming with me that was really cool and it made me feel really held supported and even like I could really at first I was anxious about connecting to touch in general but during the journey it was really really freeing and I felt like really empowered just to express myself I didn’t feel judged I felt multiple times this level of discomfort but not in a bad way I felt really supported and you really knew what you were doing there was never a moment where I didn’t feel that by the end I felt like a wild animal releasing there’s so much fire in me that just wants to be expressed and that was a safe space to do that this was fluid strong you are so authentic and connected really listening and paying attention and when you answered peoples questions it absolutely came from the heart every single time keep going keep going deeper my favorite part was screaming and then you started screaming with me that was really cool it made me feel really held supported and even like I could really go deeper” -Kelsey

A Poem by Mia- Inspired by Teresa’s Embodied Dance Journey

“ emotions and feelings are nothing but vibrations in our body that we have now labeled the clenching of the fist the tightness in the throat the frowning of the brow anger the weakness in our knees the fluid coming out of our eyes sadness certain vibrations like anxiety and excitement or actually very similar but the label makes them seem very different dance embodiment is a way to express these vibrations not their labeling or speaking but through movement and dance I attended this workshop and it was so so amazing I felt scene but away that I’ve never experienced before I was seen for me and my fluid movement of expression for my vulnerable sensual powerful state I was seeing for the woman the Lionesse the child the ballerina the curious the Child the creative one that I am and on top of that I had the honor to see other women and their faces too and to share this with them and to become a togetherness of kind of pack of wolves sexuality power and creativity is a force that we owe to our ancestors to set free.”

I currently reside in Southern California, where I practice both as an Occupational Therapist as well as a yoga instructor.  I have a particular interest in the application of mindfulness and meditation techniques to healthcare professionals in order to reduce workplace stress and in the prevention of professional burnout.  In the next few years, I hope to become certified in holistic healing and earn a degree in yoga therapy.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy reading, writing poetry, gardening, hiking, camping, traveling, music, art, and photography, as well as learning to surf and rock climb.

Encompassing asanas (poses), mantras (chanting), mudras (hand positions), pranayama (breathing techniques), and sound healing during savasana (relaxation), this powerful and ancient technology is certainly special and worth practicing. This form of yoga is the fastest working and most transformational. Hope to see you in class, Sat Nam! (Truth and Identity)

Into the Wild Sisterhood: September 2019

Much love,

Jessy

Into the Wild Sisterhood: October 2019

Into the Wild Sisterhood: November 2019

Much love,

Jessy

Into the Wild Sisterhood: December 2019

Much love,

Jessy

MS, OTR/L, RYT-200

I received a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in Saint Louis in 2013.  Over the last four years, I have worked in multiple settings, ranging from in-patient, out-patient, and community-based neurorehabilitation to home health and skilled nursing.

In 2016, I made a decision to pursue an additional career path to become a certified yoga instructor, after 3 1/2 dedicated years of practice.  I underwent a 200 hour vinyasa teacher training through Yogaworks, as well as a 100 hour yin yoga and self-myofascial release training through Samdhana Yoga.  Following the trainings, I lived on the Moroccan coast, where I taught yoga classes twice daily at surf camps.

Don't worry! It's not about dancing well. It's not about good or bad! It doesn't matter even if your dance is not like Belly Dance. The most important thing is to enjoy moving freely, let your movement flow along the drumming sound and explore yourself! Circler movement like chest circle or hip circle activate Chakras, too!

Come in your comfortable clothes! Its not recommend tennis shoes or gym shoes with thick soles. Some people dance bare feet or with socks. Bring a hip scarf, if you wish! Some will be available as well!

SoCal Abstract Madness *Art Show* Alexa Gaddis Local Artist

Join us for a free community event highlighting local Ventura County Artist Alexa Gaddis! An evening of inspiring art, community and refreshments!

Artist Introduction

My name is Alexa- I am living and creating abstract art in beautiful Southern California.  I have been painting, drawing, sculpting, and creating ever since I can remember.  My parents knew to put me in art classes from a young age and I loved the challenge of learning new artistic mediums.  In November 2018, I started practicing fluid art and have been overjoyed with the ways this technique enhances my creative process.  I look forward to sharing more of my creative madness with the world!

Kundalini Chakra Yoga *Donation Based Yoga Class*

TheSpaceVta Kundalini Chakra Yoga Donation Based Yoga Class

The “Yoga is Awareness” balances the 7 energy vortices of our bodies known as chakras. This yoga will recalibrate the endocrine, nervous, and digestive systems to name a few.

Instructor Bio:
Deg Sita Kaur (Rachel SantaOlalla) has been practicing various forms of yoga for 10 years. She has been practicing Kundalini for 2 years and can attest to how transformative it is. With a background and environmental design, she is a creator of space both physically and energetically. As a long time athlete and avid volleyball player she enjoys focusing on intuition and synchronizing with flow. Being a natural born teacher she enjoys coaching volleyball and teaching Kundalini yoga. You will feel that her class is welcoming, and fun! She’s excited to teach.

  • Stretching

  • Movement

  • Fundamental Body Understanding

  • Community

This will be a very slow and deliberate class. We will not be working up a sweat or moving quickly through posses you’ve never heard of or seen before. In this class we will be starting with the basic foundation of your body and how to create space and movement in places that haven’t been used since you were a kid. This class is Specifically Designed for Men, people who struggle with yoga, and anyone who has disliked stretching or found it to be too difficult. This class will remind you of all the things you learned in basic P.E. Class plus all the things they should have taught us in Basic P.E. Class! No previous knowledge or flexibility required! Yoga mats are available for use if you don’t own one!

Meet Hilary!
After graduating from the Kali Institute for Massage and Somatic Healing in August of 2017 I received my California State Certification that November and immediately began working at Embody Wellness Massage Studio in Ventura, Ca. I’d always been interested in medicine and anatomy which made massage therapy a perfect fit for me. I’ve completed courses in Swedish, Thai, Deep Tissue, Cupping, Hot Stone, Aromatherapy, Lomi Lomi, Lymphatic Drainage, Cranio-Sacral Therapy Massage, as well as Reiki Level 1 and Crystal Healing Therapy. I’ve practiced yoga and stretching almost my entire life and I love incorporating easy stretches into my massage sessions. During my time at the Kali Institute I came to understand that if one of the bodies systems is stressed or ill it’s only a matter of time before it spreads to the other systems. Because I want my clients to experience the highest level of health I  offer a CBD oil treatment plus free 30 minute wellness consultations. In our fast paced society it’s paramount to take care of your body and your stress levels. Receiving regular bodywork is a great way to slow down, relax, and show your body some love. Remember
